But my most recent back-on-the-water experience was right here in landlocked Chaffee County Colorado!
It looks like I’m just along for the ride (I’m in the black wetsuit, upper left corner). I did have a paddle and I did use it, but I really wasn’t supposed to at that moment! This, my third trip down Brown’s Canyon on the Arkansas River, was with American Adventure Expeditions, a company conscientious about our community. They had donated this trip for two to the Land Trust of the Upper Arkansas for a silent auction, and my bid was the winner! Levi was our competent and fun guide, and there was a great group on the raft with my friend Deb, and four fellows from Minneapolis enjoying their Colorado outdoor experience rafting, climbing, mountain biking, and fly fishing. I belong to LTUA, which does a marvelous job of working to protect our natural and cultural heritage. Bravo LTUA, American Adventure Expeditions, Levi, and my fellow paddlers!
