President Biden signed the PACT Act Into law in 2022 to ensure that our veterans who were exposed to toxic substances while serving and became sick would have access to the health care and support they desperately need. To date, over 1 million veterans and their survivors have been granted their PACT Act benefits.
Veterans who submitted an Intent to File (ITF) form in 2023, have until August 14, 2024 to submit their completed form. Visit VA.gov/PACT for more information and to check the status of your claim.
Veterans who didn’t submit an ITF last year can still get a toxic exposure screening in-person at a VA Health Center and apply for PACT Act benefits at any time at VA.gov/PACT.
