Donate to or volunteer for an organization that supports your ideals and values that you know will fight the new administration’s policies.
Although I picked six different charities for donations each of the six weeks from the election to the 2016 year end, I learned—after the fact—that it’s better to concentrate on one or two charities. Also check out your charities from these websites, but remember not all organizations worthy of a donation are tax-deductible charities. www.charitywatch.org; www.charitynavigator.org; www.give.org

To support women’s rights to their own bodies and health. “Our primary goal is prevention — reducing the number of unintended pregnancies. While teen pregnancy rates have declined significantly since 1990, the number of repeat teen birth rates remains high and we still have a lot of work to do. That’s why it is important that every woman have access to affordable birth control, so she can choose and consistently use the method that works for her. At the same time, decisions about whether to choose adoption, end a pregnancy, or raise a child must be left to a woman, her family, and her faith, with the counsel of her doctor or health care provider — not to politicians.

To fight for climate safety. “To preserve a livable planet, scientists tell us we must reduce the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere from its current level of 400 parts per million to below 350 ppm.” [Quote from their website, and thus the 350 name.]

“To fight hate and bigotry and to seek justice for the most vulnerable members of our society. Using litigation, education, and other forms of advocacy the SPLC works toward the day when the ideals of equal justice and equal opportunity will be a reality.”
